Hotspot Data on the Lebanese/Israeli Border

About the Project

Hotspot Data is a real-time web application designed to monitor and analyze fire activity in South Lebanon and along the Israeli border. The platform provides an overview of fire hotspots, enabling effective fire management and prevention strategies by leveraging NASA satellite data.

Targeting environmental researchers, policymakers, firefighters, and governmental as well as non-governmental agencies, this platform serves as a tool to examine fire patterns, assessing risks, and coordinating cross-border response efforts. With its user-friendly interface, users can easily track fire progression, identify high-risk areas, and analyze historical hotspot data.

This platform provides a shared situational awareness of fire activity where it contributes to regional cooperation in disaster management and environmental protection.
